Beyond Elegance "There Is Life After Retirement"

I want to thank you for logging into my blog.

I have had many people ask me how I got into the linen rental business. So, if I don't bore you too much, let me share with you a little history of how Beyond Elegance by Diana's existence came to be.

First.....it is important to know for those that have worked many long years for a large corporation, sat in those long boring staff meetings for hours upon end, worked long hours and traveled throughout the USA, and dreamed of retiring some day and being your own boss, but on the other hand worried about what they would do if they did retire - that there is "life after retirement" or as I always referred to it "life after GTE". I say GTE because that is who I worked for the majority of my 34 years in the telecommunications industry. GTE eventually was bought out by Verizon (the corporate officers called it a merger) which many of you may be more familiar with.

I retired in 2000 and am one of those Type A (I think that is what they called in back in our managerial training years) people that can't just sit around watching tv - my enjoyment is working. So retirement for myself came with mixed feelings.

Well....as you see (or maybe you can't)...I'm new at blogging and not sure if this blog is time stamped...anyway it's 10:30 p.m. and time to quit for the night. As they say....more to follow.
